Yoderville Bio-Diesel Cooperative
The Yoderville Biodiesel Coop (YBDC) is a group dedicated to exploring local energy production utilizing waste vegetable oil and advancing the overwhelmingly positive benefits of biodiesel use. We do this by holding workshops on biodiesel production, attending energy fairs and expos, as well as providing a positive example of responsible recycling of undeveloped local resources.
Workshops
The Yoderville Biodiesel Coop periodically
provides instructional workshops
for individuals or groups that want to
learn to produce their own fuel. By the
end of a workshop you should have a
very good understanding of what exactly
Biodiesel is, and how to produce it on
your own. We have been making our
own fuel for a little over a year and
in that time have gained a great deal
of practical knowledge through trial
and error. We hope to save you some
time and money by learning from our
mistakes and experience. We hope that
armed with this knowledge you will take
a step to reducing our dependence on
foreign oil and non-renewable resources.
Membership
Members of the Yoderville Biodiesel
Club enjoy the knowledge that the
money they spend on fuel is not funding
militant leaders across the globe,
but instead supports the local economy,
and reduces the amount of pollutants
released into the air we all breathe. All
members pay an annual membership
of $150.00. Fuel prices depend on your
level of involvement.
